Good capacity, durable. July 28, 2010 Mike (Oregon) I've had this for a year and a half now and it's been great. It holds just enough charcoal for my double grill smoker/BBQ. I grill throughout the year (not just summer), store it outdoors underneath my BBQ and so far it has little sign of wear.
IT Works! July 27, 2010 James A. Gerwick Jr. For many years I have avoided using fire starter cans due to difficulty getting them to light reliably. This gem works every time and helps me save charcoal. All it takes is two full single sheets of your favorite newspaper lightly crumbled.
Charcoal Chimney July 22, 2010 Lew Chase (Corona, CA, US) Excellent product for lighting charcoal. I haven't needed any fluids or easy light charcoal since receiving it.
The name says it all July 20, 2010 John B. Flushing Loosely waded sheet of newspaper is all I ever need to get my charcoal started in this Rapidfire Chimney Starter! Get a long lighter and you're set! Give the coals about 10 minutes or so to gray and then they're ready to dump, place the grill over the fire for 5 minutes and you should be golden. You'll only need to fill it about 1/3 to half-way with charcoal if you're only cooking for a family. That should be plenty to do what you need and you won't waste charcoal.
Wonder Starter July 19, 2010 bigneuman Forget about using accelerant soaked brickets. This simple device will start your grill in much less time, using just two sheets of newspaper. You will be amazed at how well this works.
